School Closings

Emergency school cancellations will be announced on the following radio and TV stations:

The school office will also announce a closure via a message on Fast Direct, the school’s online communication tool. The message will come from either Debbie Balsley or Maggie Cuddy and will include an email notification marked “URGENT”. The Fast Direct message and email notification will be sent to registered families. Please keep in mind that the message will only be sent if school is canceled. When in doubt, please refer to the radio and TV stations listed above.

Even if school is open for the day, parents should use their own discretion in sending or not sending children to school, as conditions may be different where you live. School will NOT be dismissed before regular dismissal time. This precaution is taken to assure the safety of the students whose parents might not be aware of an early dismissal. However, you may pick up your child at anytime, if the weather is deteriorating in your area.
