Dear Friend of Mayfair,

Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic School is planning its 31st Annual Mayfair fundraiser on Friday, May 2, 2008. This year’s theme is “Shake, Rattle and Roll” and it will be a fun fifties sock hop. We are writing to ask for your support for this year’s fundraiser.

We at Sacred Heart of Jesus have a mission of preparing our children for a life permeated with Catholic faith and values. Working in concert with our parents, teachers and students, our Catholic School provides academic excellence and the foundation each child needs to develop his or her full potential.

Mayfair is our school’s largest and most important fundraiser. Last year, through the efforts of volunteers, staff members and generous donors, Mayfair 2007 raised over $191,000! These funds go directly to funding a variety of school programs. We were able to complete the following with the money raised:

• “21st Century Classrooms” – enabling our classrooms to have state of the art technology
• $25,000 in School Scholarships
• Updated digital telephone systems
• Books for the school library
• Completion of new desks and chairs in the elementary school building

Mayfair 2008 is seeking items and services to be sold in our silent and live auctions. Please consider what you might be able to donate to this year’s fundraiser. Sacred Heart of Jesus is an exempt religious organization, so your donation is tax deductible. Donors will be listed in or auction catalog and their name will be in media print and advertising. All donations need to be in by March 31, 2008.

Another option is to advertise in our catalog. An 8 ½ x 11” catalog will be created for the evening to be given to our 450 attendees. Your advertisement can be upgraded to a sponsorship level, which includes many other perks. Rate sheets for advertising and sponsorship levels are enclosed. Please return the advertising and sponsorship forms no later than March 31, 2008 to the SHJ school or parish office.
