Lunch Program

Our lunch program is provided through Revolution Foods. All of their meals meet USDA guidelines for nutrition. Your child is required by the USDA to take milk with the meals. If your child cannot drink milk Revolution Foods requires a note from your doctor stating this for their files. Soymilk may be substituted.

With Revolution Foods, you may order weekly or up to a month in advance. The deadline to order for the week is the Wednesday prior. Lunch is not served on early dismissal days. Please watch the SHJ newsletter for “no lunch served” days. To set up an account and start ordering, click on the Revolution Foods’ link at the bottom of the page.

Reduced Lunch and Free Lunch

For families needing assistance there are reduced and free lunch benefits offered by the Federal School Lunch Program. Forms are included in each family’s packet envelope at packet pick-up. Additional packets are available through the school office. Forms are also available in Spanish, Vietnamese, and Cambodian.

  • Every lunch is served with fresh fruit and vegetables
  • Our food is prepared fresh daily and is based on seasonal items
  • We do not serve fried, overly-processed, micro-waved, or re-heated foods
  • We use organic/locally produced ingredients whenever possible
  • Our meats are hormone and antibiotic-free with no animal byproducts used in feed
  • Our milk is rBST-free and antibiotic-free
  • We never use high fructose corn syrup or artificial trans-fats
  • We follow the same “Never-Ever” ingredients that Whole Foods does

We will ask your students for feedback about their likes and dislikes—after all, everyone should enjoy the food they get in school! We take feedback seriously and are committed to making changes to our menu based on our students’ ideas. Please encourage your student to give us feedback so we can incorporate it into menu planning!

Thank you for partnering with Revolution Foods and we look forward to meeting you!
