Our Spanish Teachers
Ana Menchaca- Spanish K-5, ELL
Mrs. Menchaca comes to SHJ from El Paso, Texas. She is a graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso with a BS in Psychology and two minors, one in Biology and the other in Spanish. After graduation, she realized that teaching was where her interest lay and entered the college of Education at U.T.E.P. Mrs. Menchaca has taught Spanish for six years, the last four years in Colorado. She is glad to be at Sacred Heart of Jesus School and looks forward to meeting all of you.
Jason Diaz - 6th, 7th & 8th Grade Spanish
Jason Diaz is from Deming, New Mexico, a small town in the southern part of the state. He has a Bachelor of Science in Education with a double minor in history and Spanish. He graduated from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces. During his time in Las Cruces, he substituted for many years in the Las Cruces public schools, teaching mainly in bilingual classrooms.
Mr. Diaz has been living in Colorado just over six years and has been enjoying the great outdoor activities that Colorado has to offer. Mr. Diaz enjoys playing tennis and heading out on the mountain trails of Colorado. Mr. Diaz is thrilled to be back for his fifth year at SHJ.
