Our Librarian
Anna-Marie Berger - Library - Kindergarten - 8th Grade
Mrs. Berger is beginning her 26 th year as librarian/media specialist at Sacred Heart of Jesus School. This year she’s also teaching study skills for grades 6 – 8. After earning her BA in English at Loyola University in Chicago (minoring in German, Modern European History and Education), she began her career in education with the Chicago public schools as a secondary English teacher.
In 1980, her husband Steve and she moved to Boulder with their four children. Since joining the SHJ school staff, she has continued her graduate studies in education and communication at CU. She also has been an emergency medical first respondent for Mountain Volunteer Fire Department. Her other interests include: being a life-long fan of the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bears, cooking and collecting cookbooks, gardening, writing, and baby-sitting for her grandson, Cole Fredrick.
Mrs. Berger has always had a fierce dedication to Catholic schools. She remembers her own elementary and secondary school years with “the Sisters” as a wonderful and happy experience providing her with the role models for her career in education. Her four children are all SHJ graduates, too.
