Our 5th Grade Teachers
Kathleen Dubois - Fifth Grade
Mrs. Dubois grew up in Sudbury Massachusetts. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Michael’s College in Vermont in 1987, with English as her major. She worked in the insurance industry as a claims representative and at an insurance agency for about 4 years before becoming a teacher. She has taught high school English, and 4th through 8th grades in Maine.
She moved to Colorado in August of 2005 with her husband and three children. Two attend Sacred Heart of Jesus School. They are currently in grades 6th, and 2nd. She has been teaching 5th grade at Sacred Heart of Jesus since 2005.
Mrs. Dubois enjoys reading, hiking, exploring new places and spending time with her family. Mrs. Dubois loves Colorado and Sacred Heart of Jesus.
Sarah Miehe – 5th Grade
Ms. Miehe grew up in Loveland, Colorado and just recently moved to Boulder. She went to St. Bernadette’s for some of her elementary school and loved it. Through high school, she was very involved in youth group and enjoyed being part of Bible studies and other activities. Miss Miehe earned her Bachelor of Applied Human Science in Human Development and Family Studies from Colorado State University (Go Rams!) in 2009. While at CSU, she spent time working with 1 st and 2 nd grade. Miss Miehe then spent a year at the University of Colorado-Denver, where she earned her K-6 teaching license. While finishing school, she taught 3 rd and 5 th grade in Thornton. Miss Miehe hopes to finish her Masters in literacy within the next few years.
Miss Miehe is very excited to be teaching 5 th grade as Sacred Heart of Jesus and loves that she is working for a Catholic school. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends and going hiking and biking.
