Through the use of conversational dialogue, basic vocabulary is developed. Listening, speaking, reading and writing skills are incorporated. A strong foundation in basic Spanish grammar is established.

The course continues to build on the areas introduced in Level 1. More emphasis is placed on vocabulary building. A more comprehensive study of the language is presented. Students who successfully complete 2 are prepared to study second year Spanish in high school.
