RCIA for Adults Wednesday, Oct 7

RCIA stands for the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, the program for any adult to learn about our faith. RCIA offers active Catholics, not-so-active Catholics and non-Catholics opportunities to delve into salvation history, to contemplate Christ’s working in their lives and to appreciate the significance of the Sacraments. An Evening with St Thérèse Friday, Oct 9

The dinner and silent auction benefit the Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS) at the University of Colorado. This year’s speaker is the Very Rev Scott Traynor, Rector of St John Vianney Seminary. Fundraising at this event has helped evangelize thousands of CU students, brought them back to their faith and enriched their relationship with God and the Catholic Church. Anniversary Mass Sunday, Oct 11
Couples celebrating their 25th, 50th or 50+ wedding anniversary in 2015 and newly married couples are invited to a special Mass celebrated by Archbishop Aquila at 1 pm on Sunday, Oct 11, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Northglenn. The Gift of Life Program Sunday, Oct 11

The Gift of Life Program, a four-week course on the spirituality of death and dying, will be offered at Immaculate Conception in Lafayette on Sundays, Sept 13 through Oct 11. 1 to 4 pm. The program features videotaped talks by Father Thomas Keating . Attend one, some or all of the sessions. Pancake Breakfast Sunday, Oct 18

Sunday, Oct 18, in Jubilee Hall, the Knights of Columbus are having another one of their delicious pancake breakfasts, from 8 am to 11:30 am. Pancakes, ham, sausage, eggs, juice, coffee and real half & half will be served. Bring your appetite and support the Knights’ charitable work with Mental Health Partners and Imagine!

Middle School Youth Group - Theology of the Body for Teens Tuesdays, Oct 20 through Dec 15

The Middle School Youth Group will delve into St John Paul II’s teaching on the purpose of their lives and the significance of their sexuality. Specifically designed for 6th-8th grades, Theology of the Body for Teens uses stories, real-life examples, activities, prayers, and references to the culture relevant to the lives of youth.

  • Who am I?
  • Are there consequences to my actions?
  • What is the difference between love and lust?
  • How do I balance family, friends, school, God, music, TV, internet, texting et al in my daily life?
  • How can I discern my vocation to marriage, priesthood or religious life?
  • How do I deal with bullying, gossip, peer pressure, pornography, divorce, etc?
  • Can I live my Catholic faith no matter how I messed up in the past?
