Betsy F Serafin Scholarship Fund Friday, May 29
Scholarship Applications Due May 29
The Betsy F Serafin Scholarship Fund provides tuition assistance to students at Sacred Heart of Jesus School. Applicants must be in grades 2-7 currently; demonstrate strong academic achievement and financial need; must be Catholic and their parents must be parishioners of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish. Scholarship awards will be for one-half tuition for one academic year.
Applications for the 2015-16 academic year should be submitted to the SHJ School Office no later than 3:30 pm on Friday, May 29.

The Benedictine Nuns of the Abbey Saturday, June 6
The Benedictine Nuns of the Abbey of St Walburga invite you, your family and the SHJ parish community to join them in celebrating their 80th anniversary in Colorado. Saturday, June 6, will begin with Mass at 10 am. The Open House will include tours of the newly completed Abbey guest wing, hayrides, presentations on Abbey history, Benedictine prayer and other aspects of consecrated Benedictine community life. Boulder Free Legal Clinic Thursday, June 11
A Boulder Free Legal Clinic, open to all at no charge, sponsored by Boulder’s Municipal Court, will be held at Sacred Heart of Jesus 5:30-7:30 pm on Thursday, June 11, in Jubilee Hall. Totus Tuus This Summer June 14-19
A vibrant catechetical program for children and youth in grades 1 through 12, Totus Tuus engages students in learning about and living the Catholic faith. Daily prayer and participation in the Sacraments plus plenty of fun activities are led by trained, energetic college and seminary students. Vacation Bible School June 15-19
EVEREST: Conquering Challenges with God’s Mighty Power is a Totally Catholic Vacation Bible School for children ages 3 through kindergarten. 9 am to12 noon at SHJ Preschool. Registration forms are available in the Preschool office and the Church. Volunteers needed to support this fantastic new program. Serra Club’s Golf Classic June 22
For the 21st year Serra Club of Boulder County holds this fundraiser for vocations to ordained ministries and consecrated religious life. A 4-Person Scramble at Ute Creek Gold Course in Longmont, the tourney starts at 7:15 am. Lunch is included in the $95 entry fee ($27 of which is tax-deductible). Fortnight for Freedom June 21-July 4
This is the time when our liturgical calendar recognizes great martyrs who remained faithful in the face of persecution by political power: St Thomas More and St John Fisher, St John the Baptist, SS Peter and Paul, and the First Martyrs of the Church of Rome. SHJ’s faith-based Summer Camp is sure to ignite your child's creativity. Explore the community, compete in Olympic games and cook around the world Monday-Friday from 8 am to 6 pm, June 22 to Aug 14.
