| Catechesis of the Good Shepherd |
Sundays, Tuesdays |
Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, Level I, for ages 3-6, will meet on Sunday mornings from 9:30 - 11:30 and a second session will be offered on Tuesday afternoons.
Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, Level II, for children ages 6-9, will, also, prepare children for their first reception of the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist. Level II will meet on Tuesday afternoons.
We will, also, offer a Home Study program for busy families who would like to educate their children in the Catholic faith. Preparation for First Holy Communion is included in the second grade curriculum in each of these methods of study.
Space in this wonderful program is limited, and early registration is encouraged. Please contact Jennifer Whitehill at (303) 516-9999 with any questions. |
| Making Disciples |
Sundays |
| Making Disciples, religious education for grades 1-6, meets on Sunday mornings from 9:15-10:25 am in the elementary school classrooms. A group of dedicated catechists leads our children through their lessons and once a month parents attend an interactive session with their child. Preparation for the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion is a part of the second grade curriculum for children who have already completed one year of religious education. For those children participating in religious education for the first time, a combination of the SHJ Home Study and Making Disciples programs is advised. |
| From the Heart to the Head to the Lips |
Sundays |
| Our pastor, Father Bill Breslin, will lead discussions based on the book he wrote, "A Scriptural Catechism of the Catholic Faith", following the 8:30am Mass from 9:50-10:20am in Jubilee Hall beginning Sunday, September 23rd. Grab your coffee and donut and a seat and get engaged in becoming more up to date theologically and spiritually. Our aim will be to become more confident and a disciple of Christ and more competent in discussing why we have in our hearts that very special something that leads us to be as faithful as we are. We will also aim at becoming spiritually proficient in knowing why (and how) we can help others to know of the love of God. |
