O God,
your Son accepted our sufferings
to teach us the virtue of patience in human illness. Hear the prayers we offer for our sick brothers and sisters.
May all who suffer pain, illness or disease realize that they are chosen to be saints, and know that they are joined to Christ in his suffering for the salvation of the world, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.
Amen.
Dear Jesus, Divine Physician and Healer of the Sick, we turn to You in this time of illness.
0 dearest comforter of the troubled, alleviate our worry and sorrow with Your gentle love, and grant us the grace and strength to accept this burden.
Dear God, we place our worries in Your hands. We place our sick under Your care and humbly ask that You restore Your servant to health again.
Above all, grant us the grace to acknowledge Your holy will and know that whatsoever You do, You do for the love of us.
Amen.
Watch Thou, 0 Lord, with those who wake, or watch, or weep tonight, and give Thine angels charge over those who sleep.
Tend Thy sick ones, 0 Lord Christ.
Rest Thy weary ones.
Bless Thy dying ones.
Soothe Thy suffering ones.
Pity Thine afflicted ones.
Shield Thy joyous ones.
And all for Thy love's sake.
