Sacred Heart of Jesus, I come before you knowing that I have not been the disciple You call me to be. If there is anyone in my life whom I do not want to let down, it is You, my saving Lord.
I believe in Your undying love for me and all the people of the world. You have proven that by Your death on the cross and Your forgiveness of my sins. I also believe that You have called me to be Your disciple in every aspect of my life.
I admit that sometimes I have been a lukewarm disciple. I therefore renounce anything that I have done that is contrary to being a faithful witness to You.
I ask You, Sacred Heart of Jesus, to come into the depths of my being and transform my heart into the heart of a true disciple of Yours. Take over my life and be the heart of the matter in everything that matters to me, all the days of my life.
Fill me, O Sacred Heart of Jesus, with Your Holy Spirit that I might be empowered to bear witness to you in everything I think, say, and do.
